Fishing Report - February winter steelhead fishing gets a break in the weather

· Fishing Reports

Took full advantage!

We had a small break in between frigid temperatures blowing and blizzard like snow!
So I was able to get out and take full advantage of some nice temperatures and calm days fine.
Water conditions right now are low clear and cold with water temperatures hovering right around freezing.

Staying true to my game I still have been swinging the fly keeping it low and slow but on this day the D.A.N. rod did all the work!

With the coming Spring run keep in mind steelhead will soon be bedding up and when they're doing this they are kicking up lots of gravel so have your nymph box fully stocked with caddis, hex and stones.

Until next time stay warm stay dry and if it's nice out take full advantage of some beautiful winter fishing.
God bless
