2 and 1 is the count and it was then hit out of the park! Wow what a way to wrap up the trout season! We watched as the sun set and it was truly like looking at a fire in the sky! As far as the 2 and 1 count well the fly fishing speaks for its self! What a beautiful UP brown trout and no better way to wrap up a Michigan trout season than with a fish of this caliber crushing a swung fly in the last inning!
Now that Michigan trout season is drawing to a close its time to throw all of our focus and fly fishing mojo into the upper peninsula lake run fish (steelhead, lake run browns, kings, cohos).
We have had a good amount of rain in the last week and falling temperatures which will cause a push! The runs so far this year have been fair and fingers crossed this latest weather pattern should really help!
