Fishing Report - The Springtime Thaw

SHHHHH do you hear that?

· Fishing Reports

Listen for it! Its Michigans Upper Peninsula calling you out for your next adventure. Believe it or not the thaw has started. We are a bit behind schedule this year as far as open rivers go as we have had alot of cold weather and snow.

With that being said this equates to what is shaping up to be an absolutely fantastic spring in relationship to our water levels in Michigans UP. As you may or may not know we had a very dry spring last year along with a mild winter so our water levels became very low very fast last year but not this year.

Our rivers are just beginning to open up and the weather patterns that are coming will aid greatly in the spring thaw process as our extended forcast is calling for temps in the high 30s to mid 40s in the coming weeks and we cant wait!

The early trout season for us along with spring steelhead will be our first fish to start to target and hot on their heals will be our smallmouth. So if you are looking to get out for a float or a wading trip give us a shout as we book very quickly and allow us to take you on a trip where we do the work and you take the memories.
